Leading Edge Logistics Awarded Indirect Air Carrier Certification

NexFlite Status Permits 3PL To Ship Parcels on Passenger Aircraft.

Philadelphia (September 25, 2007): Leading Edge Logistics (LEL) a third party logistics provider announced that the company is now certified as an Indirect Air Carrier (IAC). The IAC certification was issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

As an Indirect Air Carrier LEL, who provides transportation for light parcels, is able to engage indirectly in the services of a passenger air carrier. LEL will have to adopt and carry out a security program that meets TSA requirements.

This certification allows LEL to offer customers same day service and provide time sensitive delivery of high value small parcels such as medical products or critical documents. This special class of service will be offered under the title of NexFlite™.
To track where the small parcel is on its journey to its destination, a client is able to look that information up on LEL’s website.

“NexFlite™ will be easy for every one of our clients to use. They will be able to take advantage of this service by either calling a representative, sending an e-mail or simply by going to our website,” said Tom Torcomian, President of Leading Edge Logistics.
