Leading Edge Logistics Marks 11th Anniversary with Dallas Acquisition

LEL Acquires Dallas Based Blue Wing Global Logistics.

(October 16, 2007) Philadelphia: Leading Edge Logistics, LEL, has just completed its first major acquisition in the company’s eleven year history. Blue Wing Global Logistics will now join Leading Edge Logistics.

Blue Wing Global Logistics, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, operates as a domestic and international freight forwarder as well as a truck brokerage operation. BWGL operates regional forwarding in Atlanta, GA and Newark, NJ.

Acquiring Blue Wing Global Logistics represents an excellent strategic fit for LEL. BWGL offers a service that up until now Leading Edge was outsourcing, and they operate in locations that LEL does not.

“I am excited about this opportunity, as it provides Leading Edge Logistics an additional platform from which to grow, as well as provide us more sales firepower around our great nation. I look forward to our collective company working together and servicing our customers like no company in the world,” said Tom Torcomian, President at Leading Edge Logistics.

Blue Wing’s CEO and President, Richard Parmer, will continue to be the driving force of BWGL. Parmer graduated from the University of North Texas and has over 30 years of management experience in the transportation industry.

BWGL currently has about 30 employees, bringing the LEL family to over 80 strong. The new entity will be called, Blue Wing Global Logistics, LLC: A Leading Edge Logistics Company.
